Background Investigators Meeting is scheduled for February 22, 2018 at 1pm-3pm

Location: University of Central Florida (UCF) Police Department, Orlando, Florida
Training subject: Due diligence when hiring: Driver’s licenses and new technology used to fight ID Fraud. Fraudulent Driver’s licenses are a concern as UCF PD shares their experiences with us.
Meeting topic: Members please attend this meeting as we are seeking New Officers for several board positions with this association; We have a few members retiring this year. If you are interested or would like to get involved, please attend this meeting or contact us in writing to let us know you are interested in a position for the 2018 year.

Fraudulent Id information

Hello everyone,

Just wanted everyone to be aware of the ID issues now circulating in our local area. Listed below are two recent articles for your review. Emphasizing it’s more important than ever to really check out all identification of our applicants as the fraudulent driver licenses even work when scanned, for example in a grocery store for identification to purchase alcohol, not sure but it may (and probably will) also work in when we scan the D/L (Id) in ATMS2 for our fingerprints as well; since this just scans the identification information. Something to investigate as we continue to do our due diligence….

This 40-hour course is designed as an overview of conducting applicant background investigations for the sworn detectives or non-sworn background investigator personnel. Background or investigation experience is preferred. Students will gain an understanding of the problematic, legal, investigative, and evidentiary aspects of background investigations. The investigative techniques and procedures taught in this course are general FDLE guidelines. Background investigators should follow their agency’s specific requirements in conducting background investigations; (Salary or Mandatory).
